Biography

Born in Winnipeg and raised in Calgary, Tyson Ray Borsboom has evolved into one of Canada’s most compelling musical storytellers. Blending country, indie, folk, and alt-rock, his sound creates immersive emotional worlds that feel both honest and unmistakably his own.

Now based in Vancouver, BC, Tyson has shared stages with Field Guide, Billy Raffoul, Jon Bryant, and Kacy & Clayton—winning audiences over with performances rooted in vulnerability, reflection, and the quiet beauty woven through life’s highs and lows. Working alongside producer Phenix Warren (Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Wyatt C. Louis, Kyle Church), Tyson continues to expand his sonic depth and artistic vision.

Fall 2025 marked a milestone as Tyson completed his first international tour, performing across Germany with multiple sold-out shows and building a new overseas fanbase. This momentum leads into the release of his highly anticipated full-length album in May 2026 before touring across Canada.

For fans of Zach Bryan, Gregory Alan Isakov, Ray Lamontange, Noah Kahan, Caamp, and Donovan Woods, Tyson Ray Borsboom is a rising artist you’ll want to keep close on your radar.
